This is a mount for the standard body posts on the LMT if you choose to remove the cage. The reason this is needed is to provide a mounting position for the body posts without removing and relocating the upper shock mounts to make room for the screw heads. The "fuel tank" chassis brace at the rear needs to be removed for clearance, but the bracing added by these mounts more than makes up for it.
