Lost Throne & Decrepit Dais

Lost Throne & Decrepit Dais

thingiverse

I designed this crumbling throne on a raised dais to be compatible with my True Tiles and OpenForge dungeon pieces. This piece has three iterations, a simple raised dais, a crumbling raised dais with moss or dirt spots modeled on, and a version of the crumbling dais with a broken throne. The raised dais alone is a great way to bring attention to a chest, statue, or other item. The ruined throne is great for playing host to a dungeon-dwelling humanoid enemy. The intact dais can also double as a stage for your tavern bards. Whatever you use the pieces for, have fun and please post your paint jobs to inspire others. Print Settings Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .1 Infill: 20% Notes: This piece was printed with matterhackers 3.00mm PLA filament. Post-Printing As always, I recommend that you start with a light sanding around the edges of the piece and then lay down a black base coat. After that, just have fun. The sample shown was painted with Vallejo Model Colors and shaded with Citadel Nuln Oil, I do not recommend a clear coat, but if you feel the need to lay one down I'd recommend Testors Dullcote. I mixed my own gray gradient in three coats for this piece. The first coat was a very dark grey, followed by a lighter brushing of medium grey, followed again by a dry brushing of light grey and then highlighted with white. The moss is done in intermediate green, lime green, and desert camouflage. I used cerulean for the gem.
