Low-Cost Rotary for Laser Engraver

thingiverse

This is a low-cost rotary adapter for my laser engraver, made from 4mm plywood and scrap parts from other projects that I had lying around. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MU9nrsXyCf8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nF63Rftva8A Instructions Cut the parts from 4mm plywood. I used 4 old skateboard bearings, a NEMA14 with an EasyDriver module and to make the wheels less slippery I put pieces from a latex glove on them. For your controller settings: The EasyDriver is set to 8 microsteps/step per default and with this setting the rotary needs 5120 pulses (640 steps) per revolution.
