THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS Edit 1/24/16 I have printed two of the improved version of the mask, pictured above in the image with text on it. I scaled them in the makerbot software to be about one inch squared. My settings were on normal, first unoriented with no support, second reoriented and with support. They print out fine, although the one with no support has a wonky face and the one with support has a very rough bottom (not visible). I have added a new file that has the base extended to be more flat and print upright without support. All prints took about 25 minutes each. I am using a makerbot replicator 2 with white PLA filament at 205C. Edit 1/23/16 I have uploaded an improved version of the helmet, both versions have yet to be tested, but the improved one looks better visually (changes to forehead and back of helmet as well as mouth covering part) I have also begun work on the rest of the body. Original post 1/22/16 This is my first creation and I am still learning 3D modeling so it may be upsidedown or not printable right now. I will be able to print it soon and test with/without support so right now this is just the file, I will update as soon as I test it out and I will add photos too. How I Designed This How did I make it? I used the 3D modeling software "Maya 2015" on my macbook pro with a separate mouse. I am still a beginner but I found this not to be too difficult.
