Low Poly Lewis Chessmen

Low Poly Lewis Chessmen

This was a labor of love for me, and I share it with the kind people of Thingiverse to garner traffic to my Patreon.com/SKOR3D or scan the QRC These are developed from 3D scans available from The National Museum on MMF Scan the World. I believe I have read the license correctly and have properly attributed the source. Most 3D scans of ancient objects are ultra high accuracy, this is hell on a slice. While I do appreciate the scans accuracy allowing me to actually hold an artifact, I am also a pragmatist. Through much trial and tribulation I have reduced the Lewis Chessman to the fewest amount of faces while still maintaining allot of their finer detail. I have printed a complete set of these at 50% scale with minimal clean up. The pictured pieces in rainbow filament are printed with slightly more faces and are allot messier than the impossible to photograph clear filament prints of the true low poly chess set. Please, let me know what you think.
