# Intro While trying out some origami tutorials, I came across the [Sampan boat](https://origamiexpressions.com/traditional-origami-sampan), a boat you can fold with a any square paper. But that's not all. It is one of the few paper boats which can float on top of water for well, a short time (until it gets sogged). Using the Sampan model as a template, I designed this low-poly origami boat which can float on any still water. It's simple to print, does not require any support structures and is free for customisation. I decided to print mine with Bamboo-PLA, which doesn't only make it lighter but also gives a nice texture and colour. # How to print The printing is straight forward. You can use any printer and don't need to use support structures either. Just keep in mind that not to increase the printing speed to much to avoid overhangs. Once printed, simply trim any excess PLA with a sharp knive or cutter. Done. Info: The length of the boat is just a teeny bit larger than 10 cm, which is small enough for nearly all printers. # Usage Simply put the boat in the water, maybe a bathtub or a small pond and it should float. ###Don't forget to like :) . Thanks!
