Low pressure water tap

Low pressure water tap

thingiverse

This is a simple little water tap/flow regulator (for hydroponics in my case). But i'm sure it could be useful in other fields. Don't expect to put high pressure on the tap, The body of the tap fits inside a 16x1.8mm stiff water tube. (Inner diameter ~12.20 mm) and leads out to a 5.5mm tube (outside diameter) that can take any kind of small tube (heat it up to fit over it, or glue it in place) Once printed you can thread the top with an M8 tap so it can fit an M8 bolt. To make sure it closed, I added a little rubber o ring at the bottom with an outside diameter of 8mm and 1mm thickness. Anything around that size should fit. If you still notice a leak (I didn't have a problem with that) you can try and flatten the end of the bolt for a nice tight fit.
