Modified to work with "Redcat Gen 8 V2 Relocated ESC/Receiver Mount" it worked great gives me more stability. This is a sideways battery conversion for the Redcat Gen 8 International Harvester Scout II scale crawler. This conversion allows you to get the weight bias quite a bit more forward. For fine tuning, there are many different combinations of screw holes to allow you to move the battery forward or back. Additional hardware needed: 7pcs: M3x12mm flat head screws There are two different trays; one for shorty batteries, and one for full size packs. To install, remove the original battery tray from the vehicle. The screw that is used to mount the front of the battery tray to the side rail will be reused for the installation of the sideways battery mount. Using 3pcs of the M3x12mm screws and the original side rail button head screw, install the sideways battery mount to the vehicle. Now, after positioning your ESC/receiver wire in the channel on the top of the mount, secure your desired battery tray to the mount using 4pcs of the M3x12mm screws. It's up to you where you position the tray, but we recommend starting with it further back and moving it more forward as necessary.
