Throne with upper part of seated figure missing from waist up; base broken; finely cut hieroglyphs on throne display two falcons on the upper portion and two kneeling figures grasping a "sema" on both the right and left side surfaces; large "sema" on rear surface, front surface inscribed. Provenance: The Valley temple of Menkaura in Giza. Excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition in 1909. Assigned to the MFA by the government of Egypt on May 17, 1909.
