LR44 Button Cell Holder

LR44 Button Cell Holder

I often remove the button cell batteries from my vernier caliper, dial gauge or other device so they don't corrode or run down in the device. Then I have all these cells getting lost. I also buy them in sets of 5 from which they can't easily be removed one at a time. This is for LR44 or "357" cells that are 11.5mm diameter, 5.2mm thick This ring shaped container tries to remedy the inconvenience. Simply load it up and pop them out as needed. It has a detent ball that holds the lid between slots so the battery won't fall out but its actually not necessary if the screw is tweaked to give some holding resistance. If you do use the detent, it takes a 1/4" ball (6.3mm) readily available online in bags of 100. If 100 is too many and if you really want the detent then you may as well just use a screw head - although, I must warn you, the screw doesn't work as nicely because the head has a cross or hex cut into it. You may find a screw that works OK for you if you get the right size. This ring is quite big and holds 10 cells. If you want a long narrow one then [this one](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2737450) will fit nicely into a drawer and also holds 10 cells.
