After seeing the Lucky 13 articulated figure by soozafone I knew the amount of articulation could be used for a lot of variations, and this was one of the ones I immediately started working on.

I replicated the head and split it into a two piece part (so that an MMU was not needed) for the classic barbute visor and made a custom thigh rear piece for the holster and larger pauldrons to show off the more armored look.

The thigh holster keeps the pistol right where when his leg articulates it doesn't jam into his hip and his arm lines up nicely at the right height for the “quick draw” position. It snaps tightly with the normal front thigh piece without issue. The pistol is a snug fit (its meant to be) so it doesn't slide around.

Note - I tried to make a detailed down version of his pistol and rifle, but the detail is really tough to replicate on this scale. ILM's model makers do great work but at less than 2cm long, it misses 99% of the iconic detail.

I made a version of the rifle to sling onto his back using the back stand attachment in 4 pieces for show to be printed in colors and glued together, but it's fragile. You could print them together on an MMU, but I didn't want to hold someone to needing one. I'd prefer to modify the chest armor piece to have the rifle on his back AND have the stand usable, but I haven't gotten the geometry right yet to where the rifle doesn't look like it's WAY too high up on his back.

For the hands, I just print two standard Lucky 13 hands and change colors halfway through printing to get the look of Mando's gloves.

I'm working on a “simplified" Lucky13 mini skeleton with fewer joints for a Grogu to match him.

This is the way.
