The Ludovisi Gaul, also known as the Galatian Suicide, is an ancient Roman marble statue group depicting a caped Gallic warrior in the act of committing suicide with a sword while supporting the body of his dying wife. It is believed that the Roman marbles are copies of Hellenistic Greek bronzes, which commemorated the victories over the Gauls of Galatia in the 200s BCE. The sculpture group was first noted in the 1623 inventory of the Ludovisi family, who possibly found it on the grounds of their villa in Rome. The Ludovisi Gaul, along with many other sculptures from the Ludovisi collection, is now in the Palazzo Altemps museum in Rome, Italy. A 3D print of the Gaul:
