Printed with a LulzBot Mini 2 3D printer: https://shop.lulzbot.com/lulzbot-mini-v2-0-boxed-for-retail-na-kt-pr0047na?ref=KT-PR0047NA Here’s a breezy print to help with those hot summer days ahead! Print 12 to 14 fan blades depending on how full you want your fan. To assemble you’ll need: 20 inches of 3mm ribbon A scrap of 2.85mm filament After printing all your fan blades, put a piece of filament through all the fan blades making sure they line up properly. Preheat your Tool Head nozzle to the temperature that's appropriate for your filament, and rub one end of the filament against the hot nozzle and quickly push it flat against your bed. Repeat for the other side so it's secure. You can repeat this step if you need to make your joint tighter. Next take your ribbon and start to weave the fan together. It’s easier to go from the rightmost blade that rests on top of all the other blades. Start with your ribbon underneath and pulling it towards you, then snake through the neighboring hole pulling away from yourself. Repeat till you snake through the final hole. You can either choose to leave the ribbon loose like we did to have the option to tie it, or use a little bit of glue to secure the ends.
