**LULZBOT TAZ 4 3D PRINTER!****

New to 3D printing? Already have a printer and want to build another one? ______________________________________________________ Use this model to learn about the mechanics of 3D printing or use the included files to build half of the printer itself! This is the Lulzbot Taz 4 3D printer from Lulzbot, a trademark of Aleph Objects inc. The TAZ 4 is a really awesome 3D printer, it features one of the largest build volumes in its class (almost a cubic foot!), its built from over the counter hardware and 3D printed parts, it can print in a variety of materials, with flexible and dual extrusion capabilities. The best part is, it's based around an open source concept, so if something breaks, there are no expensive proprietary parts to buy, you can literally find all the hardware on-line or at a local hardware store or electronics supplier. ______________________________________________________ This was my first 3D printer, my hands-on knowledge with FDM 3D printing was zero, now I'm an expert. A 3D printer is an absolute must for any engineer, crafts person, artist or designer. I'm really happy with this printer, I plan on building more the same and making my own design in the future (CoreXY!). One of the things I looked for when researching printers was a large build volume and a good community to help with technical issues, and Lulzbot has both! With the open source community comes tons of knowledge and constant upgrades so it's like having a toy that you can constantly upgrade with new part designs for very little extra cost. You can print the 3D printable parts yourself if you already have a 3D printer, you can buy them on ebay in a kit form, and then you would only need to buy the hardware, Lulzbot has a BOM for the rest of the parts on their website... The 3D printable files are licensed under the CC-CC BY-SA 4.0 and GPLv3, which is a share alike license with commercial distribution allowed. That means you are allowed to distribute and even sell these 3D printed part files if you want!!! Just not the whole Printer CAD model, that's my work. It should be noted that the 3D printable files have NOT been 3D print or tested so they could require minor tweaking to hole diameters etc. to allow the hardware to fit perfectly...no big deal. I purchased mine in the kit form so it cost significantly less that way and I learned 110% about how a 3D printer works during the 15 hours of assembly! :) The Taz 4 is definitely not the cheapest printer out there but if you’re new to 3D printing and want to learn, I highly recommend the Kit form of this printer.
