Lurgan Farm 5 - Cup & Ring Marked Rock

Lurgan Farm 5 is a fragmented outcrop amongst an extensive series of rock art panels which are hidden deep within a tree plantation near Aberfeldy. There are many & varied markings over this series over panels. In particular : - 3 crudely carved cup and ring marks, one with two rings the other with one. Their component cups and rings are notably asymmetric. - About 14 individual cup marks of 4- 6 cm diam. scattered and in small grouping around the panels - 2 oval depressions (about 10 x 6 cm axes) - 2 larger circular depressions, adjacent to one of the cup & ring marks. Each depression has a carved gutter leading downslope from it. - The bottom right hand panel (SW) is covered in about 60 microcups (<1 cm) , grading into peck marks. There appears to be some rough regularity in the spacing and alignment of the marks including 2 possible rosette arrangements around a couple of the slightly larger of the cup marks - The panel above this has further peck marks including 7 which show a clear curving alignment.
