M18 Milwaukee Battery Connector, Device Side / Battery Cover Remix

thingiverse

This is a remix of the M18 Milwaukee Battery Connector. I remixed this as part of a shop organization project. I wanted a bit more multi-tasker on this. The battery connector can be used as a cover for when I throw batteries in my tool bag. I wanted mount capable to make a wall hanging setup which has my batteries sorted and "gives them a home". I have an older style Li-ion Milwaukee drill as well that was damaged via a drop and I'd like to fix it and update to be the same. Changes: I improved the slide action by increasing some tolerances. I reduced the overall amount of plastic whilst still maintaining strength. I added several "nubbs" to grab hold for tool bag retrieval. I also added several recessed holes for screws. You can use 6-32 panhead for a sloppy fit, 8-32 for a tight fit, or a wood screw with a flat head (like a deck screw) for screwing it into wood. The base is a little thin for a pistol mount on a drill, so I may thicken that later for robustness. Instructions Printed on a Lulzbot AO101, 60mm/s ABS with 0.5 Nozzle, 0.4 Layer Height, 3mm brim with a 12 layer skirt.
