This is a help tool for people using SCAD or customizing someones design to find out what hole size you need for M3, M4 or M5 <b>nuts</b> to fit with just the right clearance. The parameter we are tuning is the "e" dimension in the attached drawing. The hole size "e" in the test rig are: M3: 6.3mm to 6.8mm with 0.1mm step M4/M5: 8.5mm to 11 mm with 0.25mm step However you can easily modify it to your needs, scad file is attached. For me, I found these optimal settings: M3: 6.5mm M4: 8.5mm M5; 9.5mm
