M3D Belt Puller

M3D Belt Puller

thingiverse

A little tool for pulling the belts on an M3D Micro 3D printer, or any other 2mm wide belts that need pulling. I needed a pair of these to adjust the Z axes on my printer. In order to adjust the axis, you have to pull the belt off of the axis' sprocket, without twisting it. And my daughter's crochet hook was not doing the job. So: a belt puller with a square profile. I didn't think to take a picture of the Z belt when I had the cover off last time, but I'm attaching a picture of the puller on the Y belt. For a picture of someone using a REAL belt puller on the Z axis, see the M3D troubleshooting: https://printm3d.com/solutions/article.php?id=208 Print Settings Printer: M3D Micro Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: Medium Notes: Do not print in the obvious horizontal orientation -- the layers would be parallel to the top of the hook, and it would just shear right off. Print it on its side.
