I was going for a hovership but my printer is to small. So i started my own design. I was inspired from the "Mini Flame Wheel Style Quadcopter frame." But wanted to use parts the same parts as my other quadcopter uses. This is a prototype. I have not yet received all parts so I can not say how it flies yet. But I will keep you posted! All things have been sliced in cura and then imported into m3d software. And printed with a brim of 20. Has worked great! 150914 Since I can not print a hovership on my M3d printer i started my own design. I have ordered cc3d atom, flight controller, DYS1806 motors, 12A SimonK ESC and 5030 propellers, 1300Mah battery. This is a design that I will work on. So far I have printed the arms, and fitted the motors. It works great. Will print top plate today and se how it looks. Aiming for 230mm quad 150915 Printed top and bottom yesterday. Used Cura as a slicer to have more Control. Worked great. Then just inserted the code into M3d software. Fitted arms and two scrap 1806 motors to se if how it looks. Now I must figure out where to Place reciever and fligthcontroller. The controller will probobly go on top, the esc on the arms and perhaps a lower deck for rx? I also designed a skid today. Will print it tonight and test. 150918 Changed hole pattern on top and bottom to get more space in between. It is now a 242 Quad. Also printed the skid. It works good with double sided tape. But I will remake it to get a larger Surface area to tape. 150920 Still waiting for parts 1806 motors, receiver, cc3d and esc. Have printed new skids. The have a larger surface area for tape and also a flat spot for the battery on the lower side. Seems to work good! A 1300mah battery is what I use. And a strap from RC-Explorer 150921 Changed the skids a Little. 150922 Printed the new skid. Fits great and the battery gets more secure. See picture! Still waiting for other parts.
