I made this as I ran short on square nuts while building my AM8 frame, these will hold the control panel to the front of the frame. I wouldn't suggest using these to secure anything that needs to be held firmly as they will just strip out. I will probably replace these with real nuts in the future. You can screw in a nut into the bare hole but it will warp the nut and lock it in place pretty firmly. I tapped them with an M5 tap. I run the nut upside down along the slot to smooth out the raised portion of the nut before inserting it into the rail and running it along it several times until the nut moves easier within the slot.
