In this day and age, students, teachers, instructors, and businessmen in the United States continue to use the common 3-ring binder for their endeavors. Since 1886, the binder has persevered, storing our world’s documents, from pieces of children’s art to information only seen by our world’s top officials. Currently surviving our information age and the digitization of records, the binder still has flaws, even though the invention is more than 200 years old. This flaw has existed ever since the introduction of the invention, the irritating warping of the metal rings, which causes for binders to become useless, and ruining hole punches in paper. What solution can be used to combat this problem? The Macaroni Binder Ring Protector is a solution that can solve this lasting complication. This invention is a cylindrical figure which slides over a binder ring. The protector extends farther than half of the ring, so when the whole contracts together, the other half of the ring would slide into the remaining of the cylinder, protecting the space between the ring. This object will be made out of a hard rubber, which would be flexible enough to fit snugly around a rung, but firm enough to maintain a holding around the two rungs when contracted, preventing them from separating and bending the whole entire ring. Even though the Macaroni Binder Ring Protector may seem small and simple, it is able to make a great difference.
