Skeletonized stand for the MacBook Pro Retina with optional shelf for HDD/drive storage. The MPB Retina is long in the tooth, but there are still enough out there in use to make this worth uploading. Haven't tested for fit on the current MBPs, but the "hooks" could easily be resized to accommodate any laptop. Design came about as a user who frequently uses an external drive, moves the laptop around while working and has on more than one occasion, moved the laptop while a drive was still tethered without picking up the drive first, which is a great way to lose a hard drive or break a USB port. This design is also for those who prefer a relatively steep keyboard angle while typing for comfort and for raising the screen to a more ergonomic 6" above the normal flat angle. Other design considerations included reducing the amount of material and print time while still maintaining full support. The two part shelf can store 2 typical USB type portable HDDs side by side. The shelf also sets the distance between the side supports for optimal stability. Add 4 non-skid feet to the bottoms of the side supports to prevent the stand from moving around as PLA on hard tables has a tendency to slide, particularly if you use Lemon Pledge. Assembly is pretty self explanatory; video can be uploaded if requested.
