Machine with Weight

thingiverse

This piece is a 3D printed recreation of Arthur Ganson's Machine with Concrete (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5q-BH-tvxEg.) It works, but needs some updating. The one file not included is the green spacer, which was a washer I had on hand that was scaled to the proper size. Given that nature of printed parts, it is necessary to customize the length of this piece to fir the assembly. The version in the picture used a 3/16" rod for the shafts that the gears are located on. As pictured, this system should have a 3^27 gear reduction and depending on what speed I run the motor at take around ~100k years for the final pulley to rotate once.
