Machinist Toe Clamp

Machinist Toe Clamp

This is a HEAVY duty machinist toe clamp. While you COULD 3D print this, that's NOT what this is intended for. The intent would be to make this all from steel and Aluminum Bronze. The bushing and lead nut would best be made from Aluminum Bronze, but cast iron would also likely work well. This is a reverse engineer of the Edge Precision design from the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UK32EV0pi8 The lead screw uses a custom differential screw you'll also have to make, which is 5/8x11 on the large end, and 1/2x13 on the small end. I made mine by taking 5/8x11 socket head set screws, turning down the small diameter, and threading for 1/2x13. Was faster and easier than fabricating the entire piece. The shoulder bolts are McMaster part number: 2x Shoulder Bolts - 18-8 Stainless Steel Shoulder Screw - 5/16" Shoulder Diameter, 1-3/8" Shoulder Length, 1/4"-20 Thread Size https://www.mcmaster.com/97832A313/ 2x 1/8" roll pins - 98296A879 - Spring Steel Slotted Spring Pin - 1/8" Diameter, 5/8" Long https://www.mcmaster.com/98296A879/ 2x Button Head Screws - 92949A131 18-8 Stainless Steel Button Head Hex Drive Screw - 5-40 Thread Size, 1/4" Long https://www.mcmaster.com/92949A131/ Again, this is NOT intended for 3D printing. You'll need a lathe and a mill to create these, and will require multiple setups, but it's an excellent and unique design, so I'm sharing it all here.
