We're proud to bring one of the most important, famous, and visited archaeological sites of the world, recently voted one of the New 7 Wonders of the World & UNESCO World Heritage Site - the Incan Ruins of Machu Picchu. Located 2,400 m (7,900 ft) high in the rugged Andes mountains of Peru, near Cusco, this amazing site has been impressively preserved because it was not discovered until the early 20th century. It was built in the 1400s in classic Incan style of polished dry-stone walls meticulously fitted together (Wikipedia). Machu Picchu was definitely a challenge to model, as we wanted to include not only the intricate citadel but the landscape around it, which makes it recognizable. This is also the representative of Peru in our Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup Collection.
