This is a mesmerizing puzzle. The sleight of hand master pulls out the compartment, and instructs the participant to deposit a coin into it. He then seals the box, rotates it behind his back (and inverts it) - and voila, the coin has vanished! When the owner insists on recovering his money, the box is spun around again.
