After sacrificing it’s organic body, leaving but a rift in space itself, it was granted the ability to use magic freely. It built a metal shell for itself to help chain its remaining material to reality for a bit longer, before it’d completely collapse under itself- However the suit is degrading rapidly, but magic is used to restore it. Touching the rift is said to be extremely painful, if not even deadly but nobody has ever dared test it out.
