This adapter lets you use old style Magimix blades in the new XL bowls. I upgraded my old Magimix Systeme 4100 food processor with the XL bowl upgrade kit https://www.magimix-spares.co.uk/Magimix-4000-4100-4150-4200-XL-Bowl-Lid-Upgrade-Kit-17601/product/17601/19312/ The new XL bowl is much taller than the old one so the old blades could no longer be used. I designed an adapter so that I could still use them. I cut the metal spindle off the old egg beating attachment, at about 31mm and hammered this into the end of the adapter, any 6mm rod should do if rounded off.
