Revision 27 June 2019: I have taken some things I learned for the remix "Pencil Clip for Glasses" (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3716495) and incorporated them into this design. The result is Version 2 with a much more simplified way to insert the flashlight. _____ Original Post: I wear glasses. I hate them, but it is better than the alternative. The glasses I wear are the thin rimmed type made out of that bendy metal that doesn't like to break. I wear the bendy type because sometimes my face runs into things. Broken noses heal; broken glasses don't. I thought to myself that I should take advantage of the metal structure affixed to my face to allow the use of a flashlight. Thus, the "Maglite Solitaire Glasses Clip" was born. This would be especially useful for small close-up work, spelunking very small caves, pretending to be a Borg, and working on the plumbing under a sink (the human head was never intended to be under a sink, by the way). IMPORTANT: This will not work on every pair of glasses. The side-pieces (temples) of my glasses are 3mm tall by 1.2mm wide. If you wear thick-rimmed hipster glasses, this will not work for you. This was also designed to take advantage of flexible frame glasses. Don't break your glasses trying to make this fit. Avoid an "I told you so." Note: The Maglite Solitaire is 1/2 inch (12.7mm) in diameter. This was designed to hold the flashlight on the barrel of the light only, which is 53.3mm long. That way, you still have the ability to turn the bezel and access the battery end. Theoretically, this clip to hold anything of those dimensions.
