Added a coil winder head that fit an M3 screw to hold coil cores Update... As I used it with a little spool of wire it was not very stable, so I added some blocks to fix the THING to a board of plywood or something heavy enough to hold it still while winding... This is a simple coil winder with a holder for the main magnet wire spool. The coil holder is desiged to fit the coils I make, but it is held by 4 screws ad can be replaced with a different holders in a minute. It has a camme where a microswitch (the ones found on 3d printers) is installed for turns counting and a plate where I glued a calculator modified to be a counter. To build it I used 1mt long M5 threaded rod and some M5 nuts and washers, and 2 bearings 5x16x5mm for the turning axle. You can add bearings on the spool holder axles if you like, I prefer just an alu tube without bearings because it gives a bit of friction to hold the wire in tension. The axis holes in the parts that fit on the coil winder axle are shaped for M5 nuts so when everything is tightened, there is no need of set screws, everything turns as a whole.
