Magnetic Bike Water Bottle Holder

This is a redesigned bike water bottle cage that utilizes strong magnets to secure the bottle better during rough riding. The reason for this design was based off of my constant struggle to find a water bottle holder that holds the bottle securely, but is still easy to remove the bottle and insert the bottle back after hydration. There are hundreds of bottle cages on the market and I've gone through my fair share. I've had metal cages, but they are heavy and under rough mountain biking conditions the bottle usually falls off the bike. I have also had carbon fiber and plastic cages, but often times they are too stiff and I end up either cracking off part of the cage, or I can't get my bottle out without stopping riding. Because of this I felt there was a need for a new type of bottle holder. I decided to create a new cage.The goal of this bottle cage was to make removing the water bottle from the cage easier for the rider without having to worry about losing the bottle midway through a ride on the mountain. The goal is also to create a light bottle holder with magnets to prevent vertical and horizontal motion. This housing would allow for current bottles to be used. This fixture has a small white cage with two strong magnets built into it. This part wraps around the bottle. Then for added security this is all inserted into another small and easy to insert cage (shown in red) that contains two other magnets that align with the ones in the white housing. The magnets will help with insertion of the white housing into the red cage while also holding the bottle to the red housing for extra security. A lighter, more aerodynamic version could easily be made for road biking. Also if a custom bottle with magnets built in was used most of the cage could be eliminated reducing weight, wind resistance, and would simplify using a water bottle holder even more. This whole system can be printed as is because of the gaps from where the magnets go. This mount should easily mount to any bike with a standard water bottle mount.
