Magnetic Ear Adaptors for Geek-Chic Earrings

One criticism I've had so far of my Geek-Chic Earrings is 'yes we love them, but what happens if you don't have pierced ears?'.  Never let it be said that I ignore my audience.  Using the same 3mm x 5mm neodymium magnets I use for mounting coasters permanently I came up with these small adaptors.  You take off the ear hook (if it's got one on), slip the hook at the top of the earring into the slot in the adaptor (they'll stay attached if you just push them in, but you can glue them too), place one magnet on the back of your earlobe and the earring with the adaptor on the front.  The magnets are very strong and they'll grip together through your skin, holding the earring in place.  They do grip quite strongly, so shouldn't fall off through even energetic dance moves!  I've put the fine on for a single pair and for 20 of them, in case you want to make lots at the same time. The downside is that, since they're gripping through your skin and therefore pinching it together, they may be a little uncomfortable with long-term use.  Make sure you take them off regularly and let your earlobe recover for a little while before putting them back on.  The magnetic force shouldn't affect your body at all but the pinching will force the blood out so you need to make sure not to use them for too long. Oh, and make sure you take them off before taking a phonecall.  Neodymium magnets are, as I said before, very strong and will do BADDDD things to a phone (both the screen and the electronics inside) if you put them near it.  Take them off before using your phone! These adaptors (with the magnets), as well as the range of Geek-Chic Earrings, are all available through my Etsy store - www.etsy.com/uk/shop/enterprisexddesign
