Magnetic Escape Room Puzzle Box

Magnetic Escape Room Puzzle Box

The puzzle is solved by removing the elemental tokens from their receptacle in the the top lid and placing them on the sides of the box where they attract the four springy bolts outwards to disengage the lock. The elemental symbols are just a red herring and do not have any significant meaning as far as the solution of the puzzle is concerned. This model requires 20 neodymium disk magnets (10x2mm) and 8 M5x30 countersunk screws. The magnets in the tokens are embedded inside the models and require you to add a pause during the print (I used an M600 command) so that you can place two magnets and proceed with the print. Be extra careful with the orientation of the magnets so that the tokens attract the bolts and not repel them. All the models except the "sides" model were printed in PLA. The "sides" model was printed in PETG for the extra springiness, but it might work with PLA.
