Magnetic handle for small scale models

Magnetic handle for small scale models

A friend asked me to design a magnetic painting handle for small scale (1:72, 1:48) AFV models - something "inspired by" the AK jig. And I printed something like that;) Two pieces of steel sheet should be glued into the base of the model and then thanks to this magnetic handle it can be easily manipulated during painting, weathering etc. (I didn't have any small scale model, so the pictures show a small plastic box) You will need strong neodymium magnets at least 7 mm in diameter and 4 mm thick (or two 2 mm thick glued together). Stl for handles for 7mm, 8mm, 9mm and 10mm diameter magnets are included. I printed this handle from PETG, but PLA can also be used Pint settings: 3 outlines min 30% infill.
