Made these mosaic puzzles for my 2020 Holiday Cards. Picture provided is a version with different colors on each side of the pieces, single line accents and magnets (and a box with a whiteboard sheet inside), but I've also provided files for a simple non-magnetic version, and files without the accents too. I've provided an optional example sheet to 2D print too, both A4 and Letter size. I've modeled the pieces to fit 2x1mm (dxh) neodymium magnets. These are strong enough to hold the magnet from either side, but not strong enough to repel each other from the sides. Pieces: V1: Without magnets, without accents (0.3 layer height) [EASY] V2: Without magnets, with accent (0.2 layer height) V3: With magnets, without accent (0.2 layer height, add magnets after 1.4mm) V4: With magnets, with accent (0.2 layer height, add magnets after 1.4mm) Box V1: One-piece, without marks, without accent (0.3 layer height) [EASY] V2: One piece, without marks, with accents (0.3 layer height) V3: One-piece, with marks, without accent (0.3 layer height) V4: One-piece, with marks, with accents (0.3 layer height) V5: Two-piece, without accent (0.3 layer height) V6: Two-piece, with accent (0.3 layer height) Instructions for the models with magnets: 1) pause after layer height 1.4mm 2) add the magnets (a magnetic print surface comes in really handy) 3) continue the print Instruction for the models with accents: 0) line width for accent files must be set no wider than 0.43mm. 1) import both accent and piece files in your slicer and make sure they line up. 2) print the accent file 3) print the piece or box file with a z-hop of minimally 0.2mm 4) (not for box) print the accent file again. but with a z-offset of 1.6mm and also use a z-hop. The two-piece box fits a whiteboard sheet of up to 0.6mm thickness. Cut the sheet to a circle of 133mm diameter and drill 4mm (or 3/16") holes using the provided template. When printing the two-piece box, top layers are unnecessary. Just put a dot of glue on each interlocking part when assembling the box. If you're printing the different pieces separately (with different colors e.a.), make sure to print the medium pieces twice. you need 24 of them. Don't use supports!
