Magnetic Knife Holder

Magnetic Knife Holder

This is a magnetic knife holder. The Base should be filled with sand to add weight and then glued together or you can fill it with concrete (either one should work). You can also change the printed base for some stone block, just need to drill some holes in the stone base. I used 8x8x8mm Magnetic cubes and 40x10x5 magnets (got them from Amazon). Also the base could be made higher to add more weight. Holes in the base and block where the legs go in have 0 tolerance in the model cause I wanted a tight fit (just sand down a little bit until it fits). Flat magnets holes have tolerances (made smaller), cubic holes do not have tolerances (8x8x8mm) in the model. You should measure your magnets and play with the hole sizes. I just glued my magnets with some super glue (cyanoacrylate) and it's holding.
