Magnetic Knife Holder

Magnetic Knife Holder

thingiverse

This is a kitchen magnetic knife holder using some 60 x 10 x 5 mm magnets I had laying around the house. We had all these extra knifes and the kids and I kept cutting ourselves when they were in the drawer. Sure, I could have ordered one from amazon, but where is the fun in that. I printed this in PETG, but you can use anything realistically. I used epoxy glue to hold the magnets in the sockets. The one pictured is actually quite a bit thicker, but I remolded it to about half that thickness since I felt it was overdone and saves on material. I included 2 versions, the full versions for those with large print beds and a 2 part version for smaller print beds that can be glued together. I found the magnets on amazon :https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072K5SLXK/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1, listed as Rare-Earth Metal Neodymium Magnet, N45, Incredibly Strong 33+ LB Strength - 60 x 10 x 5 mm
