This is a replacement latch for the Drazzticaction/Tabsynth enclosure for a Lulzbot Mini Print Settings Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: Mini Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: Standard settings in Cura Notes: While I was reprinting the hinges and clips for the enclosure in Lulzbot Green ABS (Just for the lulz of it....), I thought I'd change the latch that holds the door shut. The original one was a bit hard to turn, so I decided to make one that latches with magnets. There is a small bridge/overhang in the piece that holds the nut. But it still came out fine without using support material. You can reuse the original bolt and nut. The magnets I used are 6mm in diameter and 4mm high neodymium magnets. I think the holding strength was N45. Don't remember exactly as I bought these a long time ago, in a galaxy, far, far away... :-) I used to cyanoacrylate (superglue) to glue the magnets in place. Make sure you align the magnets correctly otherwise it will push the door open instead of holding it shut:-) I did not use superglue to glue the magnetholder onto the acrylic but some thin double-sided tape. Superglue tends to leave stains and I want to be able to replace it if needed. Well, that's it! And thanks to DrazzticAction for a great enclosure! Other spare parts can be found here:http://www.thingiverse.com/DrazzticAction/designs *EDIT: Probably needless to say, but you have to rotate the parts in Cura so they are flat on the bed... For some reason they export in a different orientation in Fusion 360. Picture added.
