Magnetic Levitation Case

Magnetic Levitation Case

This is a case for a magnetic levitation gadget, specifically one I purchased from Aliexpress which can be found here: http://tiny.cc/35x0bz (no affiliation). With thin walls, printed in white PLA, the blue LED's glow quite evenly around the outer edge. The picture with the device powered up was taken in a bright room and even under those conditions it emanates a satisfying glow. The mag lev is attached to the base with four self-tapping screws. I'm not sure of the dimensions of the screws I used but for reference, the four posts have 3mm holes. The lid is friction-fit. I don't see any reason I'll need to take the lid off but it's not so tight that it can't be easily removed while at the same time is tight enough that it will not just fall off. More importantly it protects both the magnets and the coils. I used a smaller DC jack (7mm dia.) to keep the case as compact as possible. I have included the sketchup files for anyone who wants to remix it, including the basic but dimensionally accurate model of the gadget itself.
