This is an 8-well magnetic rack for PCR strip tubes, with the magnets positioned lower on the rack such that they're optimized for small volumes. I routinely use this rack for library preps and Ampure cleanups, and compared to commercial racks, they're much faster, hold much stronger, and don't leave a small amount of beads at the bottom of the tube that you have to avoid pipetting.
