Magnetic Separation Rack - 12 x 1.5ml/2ml

A magnetic separation rack designed to fit 2ml (or 1.5ml) Eppendorf Safe-lock tubes. The tray is detachable for easy transfer to a non-magnetised rack. The tray will also fit an Eppendorf Thermomixer, with holes spaced 18mm center-to-center. ### Magnet Dimensions Each rack of 12 uses six N52 neodymium magnets of dimensions 25 x 8 x 2mm, which push into place (no need to glue). I found that a 0.5mm margin worked best with my printer (i.e. the magnet slots measuring 8.5 x 2.5mm) but have included copies for 0.3, 0.5 and 0.7 margins. I have also provided size testers for each, and would recommend checking before printing the full version. ### Tips For optimum magnetic flux, each magnet should be oriented to have opposite polarity to its neighbours - adjacent magnet faces should be attracted to one another.
