# Magnetic Terrace Board Game [Rules and Description](https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/2872/terrace) ## What do I need? - 1 Board - 1 set of [magnets](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077K364Z7/) (optional) - 6mm x 3mm neodymium - 128 for a complete board and 4 complete sets of pawns For a complete 2-player game, each player needs: - 4 Large Pawns - 4 Medium Pawns - 4 Small Pawns - 3 Tiny Pawns - 1 T Pawn For a short 2-player game or 4-player game, each player needs: - 1 Large Pawns - 2 Medium Pawns - 2 Small Pawns - 1 T Pawn ## Magnets Magnets are optional, but if you wish to install them, follow this process: 1. Important!!! It is critical that all magnets in the board and in the pieces are oriented with their magnetic poles in the same direction. I stack all my magnets and then mark the tops on each one with a sharpie. 1. I use Cura to [Pause](https://all3dp.com/2/cura-pause-at-height-how-to-do-it/) my print at the layer just before the magnets are sealed off. Cura does not lock the stepper motors when it pauses the print. So, as soon as the print is paused, I manually issue a command to raise the Z position in octo-print. This locks the stepper motor in place, making it harder to mess up the position during Resume. It is also necessary during the first few terraces of magnets to get the print head out of the way while installing the magnets. 1. Optionally add a dab of CA glue to the bottom of each magnet and push it into the cylindrical pocket. 1. Before resuming the print check that the tops of all magnets show the sharpie mark. 1. Resume the print. Note: This is done 8 times for a single board, once for each board terrace. Note: Trays of different sized Pawns can be printed together, they will have the same magnet installation height.
