Credit for the original design of-course goes to HPaul, and to Claghorn for his remix. I wanted to add functionality using large poster-board and heavy sheets, without having the backdrop slip&slide around too easily. My solution is a simple one, and uses dollar tree magnets! Seriously, the pack in the picture cost $1 and my dremel made salvaging the magnets quick-work. Lastly, a layer of hot-glue is optional in order to keep the magnets from falling out. I say optional because the magnets I used wedged in perfectly. I've uploaded step files as well in case anyone wants to modify for different sized magnets. So now we have the same great backdrop HPaul and claghorn gifted us, but it can adhere to a metal surface for a more stationary base (not pictured). Lastly, if you orient your magnets correctly, there is a nice hidden feature : ) see picture.
