Magtek Excella STX Lid Switch Fix

Magtek Excella STX Lid Switch Fix

thingiverse

I created this part because when removing the lid on a Magtek Excella STX, sometimes the metal piece on the Cherry DG2 T85 micro switch would break off because of the weak plastic on the switch. The check scanner cannot work without the lid switch being pressed down, but without that metal tab on the micro switch the lid cannot press the button in. This part fixes that. If that metal tab breaks off, you can print this piece that goes onto the underside of the center lid, so that when the lid is pressed down, it is able to actuate the switch without the metal piece on the micro switch. See the images for how it goes on the lid. Sorry the images are squished. Print this part with the large flat area down.
