## MaH - Modular arm Helper MaH was brought into existance because I really, really needed it at my desk. So many times when I'm busy doing stuff when I need to hold more then 2 things :) (soldering iron, tin, wires or component?). This arm helper really helps me out to get stuff done more easily. There are a few things I had in the back of my mind when designing this: - **No supports needed when printing any component (this was REALLY TOUGH!)** - **Strong and stable**, the arms at 40% infil are very, very strong! - **Easily mounted and moveable** (print 2 bases, move the arm, there ya go!) - **Modular**, if I ever needed a new component I could just create one, and hopefully you will too! ## PLEASE READ PRINT INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE PRINTING! This print needs some horizontal size compensation or the parts will not (or hardly) fit! In Simplify3D it's in the print settings under the "Other" tab in the bottom left corner. Enter a negative value of minus 0.1mm. So you enter "-0.1" without quotes of course. #### Update 17-04-2018 - Added a new and stronger gripper (mah_gripper_v2_* files). I suggest you print this instead of the V1. Print with 60% infill, 2 perimeters, no supports (yay) and -0.06mm horizontal correction. #### Update 14-04-2018 - Added a clamp mount option. Now you can pick a fixed screw mount, rotating base mount or a clamp mount for your arm. Take it anywhere! On your desk, on the wall, whatever you need. ### Rotational or fixed base If you don't want a rotational base, print the mah_base_fixed part instead of the core+shell+base_link. :-) *You can mount these bases on the wall, or any surface you can screw in. Or make your own clamp version! :) go nuts.* ### Components There are a few components: - The base shell - The base core - The base set screw - The base male link - The arm - The arm screw - The gripper And some other peripherals. If you print everything at 40% infill it will be very strong. There are however some tricks I applied to make it even more durable so be sure to read up on the print settings. ### Printing tips I printed EVERYTHING with a minus .1mm horizontal compensation. Makes for a very tight fit. Also check out the layout on my printbed so you know in what orientation to print said things ;) ### Questions Please let me know if you have any questions, have fun with this! I will try to upload every source file so you can continue on with this.
