Mailbox made from plywood, manufactured using the laser cutter. Instructions We didn't have a proper mailbox, so we designed one of our own using only plywood and the laser cutting machine. The plywood has a thickness of 4mm. It consists of 2 main parts, the box and the cover, and one alternative third part, so we could attach it to a tube. On the sides there are recesses which makes parts fit together. They are attached to each other using glue. The box and the cover are fixed to each other using a bolt of 4mm. We also engraved our house number and name on the front and on the cover with the laser cutter. The part to attach it to the tube is seperate from the back of the mailbox so that it is possible to remove it. We secured it tot the tube using tieraps. There are 3 DXF files containging al the parts you need to make the mailbox.
