Maker Select v2 Side Spool Filament Guide

Maker Select v2 Side Spool Filament Guide

thingiverse

This is a simple filament guide for the Maker Select v2 designed to work with the spool holder turned 180 degrees, so that the spool sits on the right side. It attaches to the outer two of the four screws on the top right corner (leaving the inner two for a Z-brace mount). To attach it you will probably need slightly longer screws. It's not as stable as it could be because the horizontal support of the printer is slightly recessed from the side support, but it seems to work adequately. Tip after some more use: Putting the spool upside-down (opposite of the picture above) so it feeds from the bottom may help prevent the filament from jumping the side of the spool if the sides don't extend much past the filament. In the picture this isn't an issue because there is plenty of side-wall past the filament, but on a fresh spool it looked like it could be a problem during quick X-axis moves, especially as you get higher up the Z-axis.
