A simple mount for a GoPro style camera on a Maker Select/Wanhao duplicator 3D printer can be easily created using readily available parts and a few print settings. This mount can also support other lightweight cameras. Print Settings: Printer: Maker Select 3D v2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .16mm Infill: 35% Notes: I recommend printing with three perimeters and a 1.2mm wall thickness for optimal results. Post-Printing: Required extras include a 1/4" mini binder clip to secure the mount to the lower frame of the build plate, and a GoPro/M5 nut and screw to attach the camera. Assembly: Attach the camera to the mount first, then slide the printed mount onto the lower build plate frame. The L-bend should be flush with the edge of the plate. Place the binder clip over both the plate and the printed mount, ensuring plenty of clearance. Move the build plate on the entire Y-axis to prevent interference. Design Inspiration: I drew inspiration from existing designs on Thingiverse, including a plate mount that was limited by the Maker Select fan's obstruction. Other builds required taking apart the build plate or limiting movement. I created this simple L-shaped support using a cheap mini binder clip and TinkerCad, making it easy to attach securely to the lower bed frame plate. Why Mounting a Camera on a Moving Bed Plate Matters: Mounting a camera on a moving bed plate is crucial for capturing clear footage during 3D printing operations.
