Makerbot Design Challenge: Desk Organizer

Makerbot Design Challenge: Desk Organizer

thingiverse

For our Thingiverse submission, we tackled the challenge of creating an organizer that would support all the main materials utilized in our virtual classes by using a main component and a possibility to attach drawers. It was specifically difficult to attain the correct proportions and to determine a spacious, yet manageable size for the organizer. In the case of redesigning the organizer, we would see if the drawer space could be reevaluated. Are drawers the way to go or would a shelf-type system work better for the hypothetical consumer? If the organizer were to be 3D printed, then we could analyze the design for mistakes and fix them accordingly to strengthen the design itself.
