For the MakerBot Mars Base Challenge, I designed this base with modularity and efficiency at its core, utilizing resources to their fullest potential. Individual components are conceptualized to accommodate varying scales and aesthetics, while also considering technologies that shield against high-energy radiation, provide essential necessities, and drive life-sustaining goals. Thank you for taking a look at this design. Instructions If any issues arise, please don't hesitate to reach out - I'll be more than happy to assist. Given my tight schedule of studying and final exams, which will conclude the day after the contest, I've made every effort to assemble these parts. All components were created in SolidWorks with a scale of 3.5mm representing one foot. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to complete individual tubes for sewage, water, and power distribution between modules. If you're interested in building upon this design, feel free to email me the original .SLDPRT files.
